Normally, I've been using the NWS brace of tools for marine weather when I'm going out into the briny deep (or shallow). As long as I've been a member of the Weather Underground, and I go WAY back to the early days when it was still an experiment of the U of Michigan Science department, I've never looked at their marine reportage. Well, looks like this is going to change immediately. Example for LIS follows. http://www.wunderground.com/MAR/AN/236.html Shiver me timbers, I'm fairly impressed. Another nice feature is land and marine forecasts trimmed down so they're easy to read on a blackberry or other pda with browser. They also have the nexrad radar. This was how I was able to justify the $20/month charge for my 'berry. |
