It's down to $2.56 here for cheapo. The highest I've seen was $3.21
at our local pumps.

Before the station closes, I'm gonna go down and fill the car to pull
the boat to the lake tomorrow

I want to be over there by about 6 am.

I paid $2.33 today at a Shell station in Parma, Ohio.

At the local mom and pop store it was $2.29 today. It actually went
down to that yesterday. I could not believe gas going down over a 3
day weekend.

$2.97 for regular here. We're too far from the state line for there to be
any competition. Down near the PA border, it's around $2.60.

Lets see, Alaska pipe line down, war being threatened with Iran, Lebanon
already at war, Iraq oil production half of what it was before the war....
Why would gas be going down? Think maybe it is because of the election
coming up?

Iraq never made a significant contribution to our oil supply. If you hear
otherwise coming out of your television or radio, throw the thing out the
window.

Have you noticed the decrease in boating activity after Labor Day. I wonder
if the decrease in DEMAND which normally occurs at the end of summer could
have a bearing on the price at the marina gas pump?

I really doubt it John, but then again, I never pay attention to marina
prices on fuel. I'm already filled to make the day.

Thanks! I'm planning on it. Wife and daughter are gone for the
weekend, so I'm taking my two nephews out for some "tube of resolve"
and knee boarding and in general swimming. Then off to the local eat
joint. where I'll get their delicious house cheesburger , while the
boys order "page 2" a piece. Take ;em home, dump 'em off and be back by
9.00

hopefully having a great day with the kids.

I wish COSTCO sold gasoline here.
People line up 20 deep to buy propane for barbecues because it's 2/3rds
to 3/4rs the price charged elsewhere

Ours does not sell propane. The gas is generally 2 to 4 cents cheaper than
at our corner gas stations......but not always. Today Costco was 3 cents
cheaper.

I can never get out of that store without spending less than $200. $260
today, including a couple of lobster tails and 2 nice crab legs with claws.
A nice feast tonight starting with fritti calamari. ;-)

My wife and I are generally moving out of the boating mode. It generally
does not hold the interest for us going into the fall season, especially
since we are not big on fishing. I might go out one more time to stock the
freezer.

I am putting the boat on the trailer this week and will take it out at the
local ramp if we feel like taking a ride or doing some fishing. It will
allow me to do some late season work on it with only a 5 minute ride vs. 30
minutes.

How was your time out on the boat this past Saturday with your family?

It was very good, thankyou.

Nephews and I went over to Carlyle and launched. no problem. water with
just a little ripple. Fun lake, you can go on a 10 mile run from
southeast corner to northwest corner. Got out in the middle, and broke
out "the tube" nephews took their turns at being bounced over the
wakes. we deflated the tube, then came the kneeboard. they had a riot
with that thing too. I've decided that I deffinately need a bigger
boat. I mean, the little Scorpion 169 w/140 mercruiser does good for
our purpose, but seeing its an enclosed bow, you don't have much room
topside for a lot of toys. the tube went flat and the kneeboard came
out. Water was a bit warmer than I had expected seeing that it's
geting cooler in the evenings, but it was bright and sunny with very
little breeze.

Interesting thing about jet-skis around here. The people out there were
really courteous. what I mean by that is they wern't trying to dart
around to hop your wake. they pretty well stayed their distances from
the power boaters. Plenty of room for everybody.

It was almost amusing to see sailboats out and about. with almost no
wind. even so, they had some full sails but wern't going very far, very
fast. I kind of felt sorry for them.

Anyhow, we pulled out about 6pm, and headed for the local eat joint.
and sure enough, my nephews ordered "page 2"... a piece. 17 and 15
year old nephews can pack away the groceries!. I rememebr when I used
to eat like that. I settled for a cheesburger. (one of the finest in
the country!) then homeward we went, and got in about 8:30.

I burned about 12 gal of gas. ate too much, swam a lot, and everybody
came home dead tired.

it was a blast.

Thanks for asking!

Gotcha beat! $1.93 at BP and Speedway this morning.

Natural gas prices are falling also due to large reserves.
