Yamaha vs Suzuki 2.5HP

I'm looking for a 2.5HP 4-stroke outboard to power an aluminum fishing boat.
At present, either the Yamaha or Suzuki would fit the bill "on paper".
Would someone with first-hand experience with the two help me decide by
pointing out the
advantages and disadvantages of each.
Yes, I'm already aware that the Suzuki is about $100 cheaper and 7 pounds
lighter than the Yamaha,
so let's start there.

TIA.

Both are good motors. I would consider the availability of service
above anything else. Since you have priced both, I'm guessing you have
dealers for both brands in your area. Is one better than the other?

Talk to the dealers about any promotions. I know Suzuki has offered a 6
year warranty in the past.

Nissan/Tohatsu is another choice if you have a dealer nearby. I think
they make a 3.5 HP in both brands.
