Let Jimmy show the world what a homophobe really is! Why, if I appeared so badly, did you invite me aboard your boat so often? (Whoops!) I feed and sometimes take in stray cats, too. It's my nature to help the helpless. It's a Liberal thing. You're a good man, Harry! He's also in favor of rabies, fleas, feline leukemia/FIDS and bird flu. :) Actually, as soon as we take in a stray, we isolate the animal until we can get it to the vet for the feline leukemia test. We haven't actually adopted a new cat for four years. We tried last year, but the kitten had feline leukemia, so we had her put to sleep. Beautiful kitty. If the cat checks out ok, we have the vet give her all necessary shots, plus a bath. I didn't want to go through all that just for a ride on your boat! -- ****************************************** ***** Hope your day is great! ***** ****************************************** John |

The eye went right through here..... tons and tons of rain, but just a minor cleanup job in the yard will suffice to get back to normal. We're still quite wooded in this area and the winds tend to do less damage. Storm surge hit at low tide, so the damage from that was minimal. Again, we ducked a bullet. Yes we did. We rode out the little beast here in Holden Beach. Quite erie when the eye passed over. LOTS of wind/rain but I've seen more damage from common thunderstorms. Sitting on the screened in porch, we felt a slight breeze while the TALL trees overhead took a beating. Luckily, we never lost power and the blender was in fine form :) Im glad it didn't amount to much. db |

Florence had me holding my breath, but it looks like it will hit New England... if it hits the US at all..... Funny how the news outlets work. A sister-in-law in Ohio heard nothing but how Oak Island was thrashed by the storm. (Suppose people from over 100 miles away even had a clue where that was?) Local reports were about flooding in Holden Beach, Leland, Shallote... and later on Pender county. National coverage paid more attention to the actual damage done in VA and MD.... Odd to see something first hand and then listen to another's account of the occurrence. Hey! Losing the Starbucks in downtown Alexandria, VA, *was* big news! -- ****************************************** ***** Hope your day is great! ***** ****************************************** John |
