I think that the speedster has too many roots in the jetski world to
attract many fans in this news group. I have a regular i/o trailer
boat but I'll give you my observations.

Jet boats burn more gas than prop boats. The style also seems more
geared towards running around all the time like a jetski than what I do
with a boat. I think I would get bored with it pretty quickly. Their
ability to deal with shallow water is good. All in all I'm still a fan
of the more traditional inboard or i/o for recreational boating. We
like to cruise, ski, tube, wakeboard, kneeboard, swim, and just loaf
around on the water.
