Default visibility in center console boat

Got an 18' center console. The console has a windshield on it. That
windshield stays wet, and has restricted vision during each boat trip. A
solution to the visibilty part of the problem is to get a higher seat so I
can simply look out over the windshield.

Another solution would be to remove the windshield.

Some center consoles don't have windshields. For the guys whose c/c boats
don't have windshields, how much, if any, do you wish your boat console had
a windshield? I'm trying to figure out if removing the windshield is
actually a potential practical solution.

I'd just stand and look over the top.

Try putting som Rain-X on the windshield. The should help the water run
off and improve your visability.
