mercury hard to start

Hi all I have 200 2001 mercury outboard it starts up fine cold but run it a
while get it hot 180% shut it off for a short time it starts hard have to
choke it I think it get vapor lock had the boat yard look at it sas it find
.. any help would be much thanks
