Chrysler 85hp outboard (1980-ish) *COUGHS* during idle
Anyone know what would cause a 2 stroke chrysler to hiccup once in a
while during idle? It runs fine when cruising around, but sometimes during idle it sounds like it misses for a brief second, like it wants to die and then goes back to chugging away. I had a 4 stroke 200cc Yamaha dirtbike that did the same thing. Could never figure it out. My gut feeling is that it is a carb issue....maybe time to rebuild them? |

Adjust the idle mixture(s) (I believe there are 3 on that motor) slightly richer. Rob |
