For NOYB only. Don't bother if you are a netcop.
"Harry Krause" wrote in message . .. Today's Ras: July 26, 2006 For the second straight day, just 37% of Americans approve of the way that President Bush is performing his job. That’s the President’s lowest rating since mid-May. Just 26% of Americans share the President’s view that stem cell research is morally wrong. - - - Last week, this same poll had the anti-science POTUS at 45%. Ras is too volatile to be taken seriously. There's just no way you'd get an eight point shift in a couple of days. You think the stem cell veto is behind this? I don't. I think it is Iraq, Iraq, Iraq, with some gasoline being poured on by the Israel-Hezbollah mess. Two issues: 1) stem cell veto 2) Lebanon/Israel. The administration is perceived as being "disengaged", but I believe that is there intention...to let the Israelis clean up Lebanon. |

I would guess the American public is more pleased by the stance Israel vs. Lebanon-Syria-Iran than displeased. I still think it is Iraq, because "the situation" there is getting worse, not better, and the rosy predictions from the Admin seem farther and farther detached from reality. The stem cell veto was unfathomable, but I don't think it precipitated the latest drop on that poll. I think it is *that* poll. There's really something wrong with their methods and procedures. That's the first time I have ever seen a wild fluctuation in his day to day polling. If you look at the historical numbers, they've been amazingly consistent. |

One more thing...
I have to dig up that graph that shows the correlation between Bush's approval rating and the price of oil. They are almost exactly inversely proportional. "Harry Krause" wrote in message ...
