Force 125 o/b won't start
Just wanted to inqure about my '87 Bayliner Capri.. This boat hasn't
been run in about a year and yesterday after replacing the fuel lines, cleaning the fuel filter, adding fresh fuel and plugs I tried cranking the engine. It would not even attempt to start so I then tested for spark which I found only on the top two plugs. It looks like this engine has separate coils for each plug is this correct? Anyone have an idea what two new coils will run me? |

can you swap the coils and see if the spark moves?

Hmm yeah that sounds like a good idea- will give it a try tomorrow.
I'm still concerned that the engine wouldn't even attempt to start even with the two good sparking plugs.. maybe 2 strokes need all cylinders to fire before anything will happen? While cranking it sounds like there's no spark at *all* |

Well today I did a compression test on the engine and here's what I
found: #1 cyl: 90psi #2 cyl 0psi #3 cyl: 100psi #4 cyl: 120psi So does it look like I'm in need of a rebuild then? |
