Do you still have the URL for the site from which you got your sunglasses?
I'm referring to the ones that fit over regular glasses. Mine got trashed
and my usual source doesn't carry them any more.

Thanks!

John, I'll look for the sunglasses. My wife swiped them. The brand name is
on there, and I'm sure I can figure out the url from that point.

You too, huh?

My favorite pair were missing for about a month and I figured I lost them
somewhere.
That is until recently when I took a good look at what Mrs.E. was wearing.

Women! Can't live with 'em, can't bury them in the backyard. :-)

Bury them in your neighbor's yard.

No problem. I'm not at the emergency stage yet. I still have my boat pair
to fall back on. But, if I lose them then boating would be a bitch!

I have clip ons that came with my prescription glasses. They are small
and easy to keep in a shirt pocket but when you get any sal****er spray
you have to take them off and clean FOUR lenses. I put them in the
other car and went here...

You're a brave soul. I usually have to go back at least a couple times for
adjustments, and even new lenses a couple times. I'd never trust buying
them over the internet. That's not to imply there's anything wrong with
doing so, but I want to be able to go back to the place I bought them.

My current pair of rx glasses came from Costco. These were less than half
what I paid at a regular ophthalmologist's office, and I've been very
satisfied with them.

The same frames are available everywhere in non-prescription form. I
tried on a pair at Outdoor World before I made the purchase. As for the
lenses, I have a rather mild single vision prescription and both lenses
are the same.

I wish I could get away with that, but the only discount prescriptions
around here have to come from Wal Mart. Tried them twice. They could not get
it right. I have "significant astigmatism", as the doctor likes to say,
nearsightedness, and I wanted bifocals. With WM's lenses, I felt like I had
fisheye lenses in the frames, and the numbskulls put the bifocal "break"
right in the center of the lenses. They said "Duh...well we just followed
the prescription". Ummm....no.

Those are the kinds of problems I had with the ophthalmologist's office. I
have prisms in both lenses, which are also progressive (instead of
trifocals). My vision with the new glasses was blurry, and they kept trying
to tell me there was nothing wrong with them. After new lenses, twice, they
finally got them right. A real PITA though.

Costco got the lenses right the first time, but one lens was mounted just a
little off vertical. With progressive lenses, there can't be much play in
the mounting. They fixed it in one visit, so I'm happy. I can see a golf
ball throughout its flight!

With optometrists & opthalmologists, it really depends on the lab they use,
to a great extent. Also with the person who measures your face. The place I
go to always asks me what kinds of activities I'm involved with, and they've
fitted my regular glasses in a way that's slightly different from my
sunglasses. They type us those notes, review them with me each time, and ask
if anything's changed. These people are great, but expensive. $250-ish for
regular glasses (just the lenses), and about $350 for the polarized lenses.
Luckily, my eyes are changing very slowly.

Hee hee! I had that problem with a 2 Hour optical place here.
You know...the type of place that provides a 2nd pair for free.
Took 7 weeks to get all straightened out. No more. Now I go to a
quality shop that has been in the business for about 50 years.
I pay more and no freebies...but my glasses are perfect each time.
note.. I use progessive lens in the best super thin plastic, coatings
and titanium frames. I have two pair I use. My working pair are 5 years
old and my 'new pair' will be 3 years old this fall.
