Lee Yeaton has returned from vacation and has kindly posted 2 pictures of my
boats at his website of:: http://thebayguide.com/rec.boats/ (Thank you Lee) BTW: Lee's other site is http://thebayguide.com/ You previously stated an interest in posting some pics of your boats on the site. Now may be the time if you still plan to do so. I would like to see a picture of that Contender of yours. ;-) |

I'm saving the surprise. Another week. :) Twin Volvo diesels? I've got twin Volvo diesels. Did Mrs.E. sell you my boat?????????? Eisboch |

Other than to say that owning inboard diesels goes against every single fiber of my inner need-for-speed core. It's being delivered Friday. Ok. We'll wait for the boat details, but .... what engines? I ask because the general boating community always says about Volvo diesels, "ya can't get parts ... yada... yada... yada... I've never had any problems getting regular maintenance parts for mine, including the standard "spare parts" inventory of filters, belts, etc. If and when they should ever need more serious maintenance, the marina where I have the boat has certified Volvo diesel mechanics. Bottom line is, I think you are really going to like them. Mine are TAMP 63P (370hp version) and have been absolutely trouble-free, quiet and clean burning as compared to some of the other diesels. They are also very fuel efficient engines. Congrats in advance and welcome to the world of "real" boat engines! :-) (no flames, please --- gassers are fine for some applications) Eisboch |
