Default How do you drop the lower unit in an 1996 Evinrude 88 hp ?

We've removed the 7 bolts, and it's dropped about an inch, then what?
We've lost the owners manual. We are trying to replace the impeller
assembly.

No, we don't know how to release the linkage. All I could find was
either to engage in forward or reverse.
