That BuySell.com seems to be the only real web presence for
Nor'Westing. http://www.norwesting.com redirects there, and they do
seem to have most of both Nor'Westing's and BoatJournal's articles from

It is common for these Regional magazine to have very limited
exposure on the Internet. You normally see them being distributed for
free at the local marina's, at the restaurants close to the water and
boat stores. If you look at the Boat Journal web site, you can see
where they distribute the magazine. The local mags I have seen try to
have enough interesting articles to get you to pick up the mag so you
will read the ads.

If you are wondering if the magazine is a quality rag or a piece of ****
you can ask the question directly in the NG. A number of people
including JimH have made very favorable comments about the magazine.
Heck, I would guess Chuck would send you a copy for free.

I am curious as to what the "partnership" relationship is. Usually
partnerships are formed for mutual benefit.

the 2 outfits. What did you have on your mind? I don't think it would
be wise to jump to any conclusions on this issue. Things may not be as

you might be correct. When I read both web sites, I read it that both
of them were using one business or brand(Printed Media such as
Northwestn and Boat Journal) to generate business to their web business
(BuySell.com).

RitzInteractive is using the brick and mortar stores brand recognition
to generate business to their web based business Ritz Interactive.

Ritz Interactive is a network of e-commerce websites. Led by its
flagship sites RitzCamera.com, WolfCamera.com and Boatersworld.com, Ritz
Interactive represents a diverse group of properties in different stages
of growth. Each site, branded and marketed individually, is dedicated to
bringing unique product offerings to the e-tailing shopper. Ritz
Interactive and Ritz Camera Centers are separate companies.

It might be I how was dumb as a post, but they both seem to be in the
business of using conventional business to help them generate traffic to
an online ecommerce.

for Worlds Worst Website.

We publish a pretty good magazine. We run a crummy website.

Boat Journal is our Canadian sister publication. We share a lot of
content with them

Click on "previous articles" or something similar on the left hand side
of the page to get
a better overall feel for the magazine.
