Speedometer pitot tube or transducer...Where is it?

The speedometer stopped working on my new boat (2006 Bayliner 175). On
my old boat, I had a pitot tube sticking out of the transom but on the
new boat I see no such thing.

I am assuming the water pressure intake (doing the speed reading) is
plugged but I have no idea where it is. Could it actually be on the
motor (I/O Mercruiser 135hp Alpha)? Kind of hard to fix the problem
when you don't even know where to look...

A lot of newer types have the pitot built into the lower unit. Look for
a small hole there.

been there done that (I have an 05 175) the speedo intake is in the bottom
front portion of the lower leg (outdrive).
