Air Compressors...

snippage Yeah, I've thought about that. This is my home shop, so it will only be used occasionally. I'm thinking that water filter with an automatic drain in line a few feet away from the compressor will suffice for most uses. Then I'll use a dessicant dryer for when I'm spraying. Does that sound OK? Most home shop guys I know (including myself) use exactly that setup. Water trap near the compressor and the dessicant canisters that screw into either your hose or your spraygun inlet. The dessicant is only needed while spray painting anyway. Mark E. Williams |

Seeing as how I can buy a truckload of desiccant cartridges for the price of a refrigerated dryer, and I'll rarely be spraying anything, I'll have to put up with it. Thanks! |
