05 Hurricane 198RE/Honda 135 Outboard-Battery Dying while sitting?

Hi all
I have twice now had a problem with the battery in my 198RE w/Honda 135hp
outboard dying. I use it on the weekends where i camp at,I know nothing was
left on.I charged it one saturday, then next weekend when i put it in the
water and tried to start it,it was dead. I know that nothing was left on, do
marine batteries just go bad like this sometimes? Once i hooked it up to a
starter battery supplied by the boat launch i was at,it started and worked
fine. I brought it home last weekend to get it tested which i will do
tomorrow, and it has 11.9 volts right now.

What do you all think?

Batteries are perishable! If I had to take an educated guess, the
battery has sulfated from not being charged off-season and is not
accepting a charge or the charging system is not working. Please see
Sections 16 and 9 in the FAQ on www.batteryfaq.org for more
information on sulfation and charging.

Kindest regards,

BiLL.......
