Help: Banged up lower unit
Hello
I started my engine in shallow water and hit a rock, the fin of the lower unit has approx a 1 inch rip/bend in it. Does anyone know if this can be straightened and fixed or is this a replacement type job. Normally I would say it could easily be fixed but the 'fin' seems to be made of a 'white metal' type of material. Thanks Fro |

If you can get the boat out of the water and deliver it to a weld shop it is a $50 repair. Make sure to then apply a coat of primer and then a top coat before it goes into the water. |
