princess stove 1986 bayliner 2550

while enjoying a super week-end on the Rideau Lakes, my Princess stove
broke. The entire glass plate on the two burner stove cracked. Any
ideas how I can replace it or do I need a new stove ?

Any help much appreciated
Thanks, Dave

A) why did it crack? is there an underlying defect or failure?

B) Have you already searched for parts availability to replace only the
ceran top?

Ceran top on a boat?
When we replaced my kitchen range 3 years ago , the wife wanted the
glass top... but I was leaning at the good old fashioned coils. the
salesman scared me by saying it would cost about $500.00 to replace the
Ceran top if we broke it. That's half the value of the stove.
Kids were grown, so I got brave & chanced it.

I know nothing of Dave's circumstance, but the Princess website makes
reference to Ceran tops on their electric cooktops.

Did you ever find a new stove, or the parts? My glass top just broke this weekend. I cooked something, turned it off and when I came back it was shattered!

I’m really surprised that link still works. But I’m not surprised that the stovetop is unavailable.
