American shad? Great fish on light tackle. Although I've never had much
luck with a fly, I could imagine they would be a handful. In the
Delaware, they are running pretty good right now.

Easy to fish a fly. No real casting involved. Since you use a shooting
head to a mono running line (I use Amnesia), you need the fly down on the
bottom. Flip the line out a ways and work it out along the seam.

Thanks for the advice. I might just be able to get out this weekend. If
I do, I'll give it a go.

Shadow? Shadow? What is this shadow thing you speak of? Perhaps related
the bright object in the sky. I remember seeing a bright object in the
sky, but it was so long ago I can't remember what a shadow looks like.

As I told Don in a previous post, I spoke too soon.

It rained all day today........all day......with the rain finally stopping
about an hour ago.

I had planned to take the afternoon off to install my new helm seat and
finish the bimini installation.....but that will have to wait till tomorrow
(provided it does not rain all day again).

I trust you are from the New England area as rain is forecast there all
weekend. Bummer.

It stopped raining here.....finally, yesterday at around 5 p.m.

Today we headed to the boat to do some last minute work........finish the
bimini installation and install the new helm seat. After that was done we
took a river cruise, stopping by along the trip to visit with a friend of
ours who was still working on his '69 Lyman (although it is in the water).
It was cool and very windy but we enjoyed it. Lots of folks out today
working on their boats. ;-)

All I have left to do is install the new A/B switch, secure the new battery
box and install an hour meter.

The forecast looks promising heading into Memorial Day
weekend............and we are finally ready!

Have you splashed your boat for the season yet?
