Race for the Cure -- OVER THE TOP!

JimH,

If you were able to understand simple English, you understand that
JohnH did honor all of his committments.

I can't believe you actually don't understand it, but you seem to be
using this "diversion" to start another one of your flame wars.

Trust me on this one, while only a few people have commented about your
extremely unusual behavior, I would be very surprised if everyone did
not agree with your comment "then I guess I am an asshole"

Am I reading the site wrong...the top fundraiser only has three grand.
How come your daughter isn't there with the $5K?
(not talking about individual contributors)

As I am associated with a team, Racing for Renee, the money donated
through
my site gets credited to the team, not me individually. If I were to
disassociate myself from the team, then I'd be the top fundraiser. I'm
leaving it as it is, and the Racing for Renege team is currently the third

Congratulations once again on the success of your team. If I recall you
promised to donate $3,000+ to the fund if it met a certain ceiling you set.
That ceiling was met and surpassed.

Once you do so your team will certainly be in first place. The foundation
will also appreciate the donation.

Just *badgering* for a donation to a worthy cause that you promised to make
a large donation to. Looking forward to seeing your name on the largest
donors list. ;-)

PS: Your intentions and efforts are indeed noteworthy John. As I stated
previously my family has a stake in this foundation also and your promised
donation to the fund is certainly appreciated.

Outside of you being dead wrong, you've now proven yourself to be the
biggest asshole in usenet. Your childish actions as of late have gone
completely overboard. Grow up.

My, my. All my detractors are jumping on the bandwagon. Richey Rich,
Reginald III and now you Kevin.

If asking the guy to live up to a promise made to this NG and standing
up for a charity .

If pestering him for it the way he pestered several others here for
donations then I guess I am the most obnoxious person in this NG's
history.

Now don't forget to continue to donate to the Susan Koman foundation
at:

http://tinyurl.com/5shaw

It is not a one time 'feel good' donation thing if you really believe
in the cause.

And have a super evening. ;-)

I do have to ask you, if you "believe in the cause", why did you pester
JohnH to stop asking for donations when he had received $3000 in
donations.

It seems you are the only one who does not believe in "the cause", and
prefered to use JohnH's campaign as another one of your flame wars and
efforts to control what others posts in rec.boats, especially if their
posts are not inflamatory political trolls.

Jim, why don't you do this...start a thread asking who made a donation

You see, Jim, there is a serious flaw in your logic. I won't tell you what

I've no idea what you're talking about. Perhaps you could refresh my

with the appropriate post? I *did* offer to triple an individual's
donation, which could possibly have cost me that much, although the
limit
was 'up to the goal'. I don't recall saying anything about making a

Please don't turn this into a bitch slapping session John. As I stated

all money donated towards it.

You made a promise (of $1,750). Live up to it. ;-)

JimH,

You could ruin a beautiful sunny day on the water just by showing up.

This is normally when you apologize for picking a silly fight, before
you move onto your next victim, in your never ending quest to turn
every thread into a bitch fight.

My bad. It was actually $1,750.

Your promise:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
"I'll match (on a $1 for $2 basis), up to the amount of the goal, any
donations made to the foundation through this web site by anyone from
this
time until the cut-off for team donations, which is 1 May! So, if you
donate
$20, that'll cost me another $10! If the group donates $3500 andits the
goal, it'll cost me $1750."
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Cough up John. It is for a worthy cause after all. ;-)

I matched every donation that was made by a member of the group after
that
post was made, except the $1 donation made last night which I'll match.
You
received your copy of my matching contribution right after you made your
donation. Now, if you want to donate $3500, to a cause in which you have
a
stake, I'll be glad to match it on a $1 for $2 basis, i.e., I'll donate
another $1750.

You are most welcome to check with the other donors in the group to see
if
their donations were matched as yours was.

My daughter, when I called to tell her to look at the site, was in tears. I
can't thank all you guys enough.

Well, it paid off. If my behavior was *really* that offensive to anyone,
then I apologize for it. Based on the response from 17 people in the group,
it wasn't *too* offensive!

Make it 18. Good job, John!

Thanks, Dan. You will notice that a matching contribution was made for the
one that took it 'over the top' yesterday?

I loved it!

Now you should have quadrupled that one!

For the record, that was a supplementary contribution.

Dan

No, it was much more fun answering the question, "Where the hell did the
two dollars come from?"

It provided a lot of laughs!

Thanks again.

Good to see it brought another $500!

JohnH,

I am glad u decieded to ignore the person who bitched and wanted you

stop promoting the web site and the worthwhile charity.

Your perserverance and the generoistiy of this group and your friends
resulted in something you can be proud of.

In your way, I am sure you showed your daughter how much you are
supporting her in this difficult time.

$2 (sometimes $3) for every $1 contributed John. That was your promise,
and an honorable one at that.

Thanks for your efforts to this worthy cause that we both have personal
interests in. ;-)

Good grief. Enough of this crap already, huh?

I agree. Enough said about someone not living up to their commitments on a
charity donation. ;-)

Jim, why don't you do this...start a thread asking who made a donation
without receiving confirmation of my matching donation? See how many
responses you get in the affirmative.

You see, Jim, there is a serious flaw in your logic. I won't tell you what
it is, but I'll give you a hint...it has something to do with dates.

Once you figure it out, and feel like a total ass, don't bother with a
meaningless apology. You've shown your colors.

Actually, you came out with the matching offer 'after' us early birds
made our (modest) donations. It was a tactic to generate a better
response and certainly worked.

Darn, you gave it away!

Thanks for your support Don!
