When the OP first asked, I did a quick Google for his boat and found a couple of stern view pictures of two that were for sale. Neither had an obvious plate like the one Chuck found. Either that or you just couldn't see them. I thought the hull number had to be put on in a way that it would be obvious if it was tampered with ... RCE That has been the experience with each boat I have owned........it was always imprinted in the gelcoat and always on the starboard side on the transom. That method is not tamperproof as on can easily grind out the numbers, re-gelcoat and imprint a new number in the new gelcoat. ;-) |
