The only donation I regret .... no, regret is not the right word ... the only one I was somewhat disappointed in was a rather sizeable donation to the American Red Cross shortly after 9/11. Like many, we got caught up in the emotional need to "do something". The controversy that arose over the subsequent months regarding how the 9/11 donations were dispersed (or not) was a bit disappointing. Not to bash the ARC, but I think their leadership misread the public's intentions. RCE |

No one was ever charged or convicted since. Lately their 'Home Care' people started screwing my 91 year old mother around in her visit times. I kept them for Mondays ..so far but dismissed them on Thursdays and hired another company that would show up in the morning. |
