I need to replace the boots, and possibly some internal drive parts, as I
have a slight leak. How difficult is is to change the boots? Does anyone
know of instructions on how to do this?

tia

I bought the aftermarket manuals for that purpose.

It is not that difficult, but you will need some sort of overhead lift or
hoist to hold the outdrive - unless you are superman.....

Pull the outdrive and crawl under the boat and loosen the hose clamps and
remove - putting back on is slightly more difficult. GET A MANUAL !!! When
putting the outdrive back on, make sure you line up the shifter fork - I
have put the outdrive on only to have to take it off again because the
shifter was not lined up...

Thanks all for the advice.
