5 parts sand and 1 part shredded boat
I was looking at a lot at the coast today and they had brought in some
fill to replace what had ben washed away by hurricane Dennis last year. The sand had a lot of other crap mixed in and looking closer I saw pieces of broken fiberglass. Looking even closer, I was able to identify some of the larger pieces and even found the bottom of a keel. It looked like somehow they had a shredded 22' sailboat mixed in there. |

Really, a 3d jigsaw puzzle where you have to dig up the pieces. Maybe
the realtor advertised the lot as including a sailboat. |

Actually, this was at Shell Point, south of Tallahassee. Storm surge
hit here, not wind. |

We were in our motorhome in the State Park on St George Island and they ran us out of the park. I thought they were nutz the hurricane was going in 200-miles to the west of St George Island. (we are from Pensacola thus are used to our annual hurricane) we were aggrivated that they made us evacuate but the wave action did some serious damage to St George Island and the Campground is not open yet. Of course if you want to see damage you need to look at Pensacola Beach. Hurricane Dennis destroyed what had not been destroyed by Hurricane Ivan a year earlier. mike -- Inviato da X-Privat.Org - Registrazione gratuita http://www.x-privat.org/join.php |
