![]() Harry Krause wrote: For regular. Can't want to see the marina prices next week. Sheesh. Is this going to be the next political kick in the butt for Bush? No. The next politcal kick in the butt for Bush is coming from the right wing as congressional hopefuls try to run upstream against Bush's 30% approval/popularity rating. Michael Savage called Bush a "liar" on his Thursday night show (mostly because of the contradiction between the "secure the homeland" rhetoric and the increasingly wide open borders to allow cheap labor from Mexico- not really because of WMD or Iraq). Savage also ridiculed another right wing talk show host by calling him "Hush Bimbo", and criticized that person's blind support for Bush. I expect to see a lot more of this before November. With the sentiment in the country about 2 to 1 unfavorable for Bush no right wing candidate will want to be seen defending the president too vigorously. Slow down a little bit, (to the point where you're just up on plane), and you'll spend less for gas this year than you spent last year. Most of us can control our fuel consumption by as much as 40% or more based on speed alone. If gas is up 30% over last summer's exorbitant prices and you operate 40% more efficiently, joila- a 10% savings. :-) |
