Couple of pics each of Mrs.E.'s GB with the new enclosure and ....

status of Gen. Lee's new 440 ci motor.

Gasoline donations cheerfully accepted.

Sure Richard, we feel your pain.

You really are an idiot.

RCE

Ummmm...........whatever you think. No problem on my end Richard.

Having a bad day or just getting tired of flaunting your riches?

See?

I am not flaunting any riches, Jim. I am a long term participant of this
NG and enjoy sharing experiences and hobbies just like everyone else. If
you knew me, you would understand I think.

RCE

Most folks are happy to keep the rewards of their hard labor to
themselves. Others need to flaunt it............and I cannot understand
why.

Let's see.............you posted about and provided pictures of your His
and hers GB yachts with custom made upholstery and tops. A custom made
limited edition BMW M5. A 20 acre horse farm. A General Lee and several
other custom made cars. A custom garage to keep General Lee in.

Richard, I am happy you made your millions. But even Bill Gates does not
flaunt his riches on the internet for others to fawn over as you do. And
I doubt Bill Gates would not call me an idiot when I made a comical remark
to his posting of "gasoline donations welcome".

Glad you made it in this world Richard. But when you flaunt it don't get
PO'd when others make jokes about it.

Fair enough?

First, you don't have your facts correct, but no matter. I've already
suggested that if my interests and hobbies disturb you, and they obviously
do, kill-file me, so you don't get so upset.

I am not upset. You obviously were when I made a joke about your comment
about accepting contributions for gasoline.

I enjoy reading about your interests and experiences and agree that you have
been a positive contributor to this NG. I was, however, taken back by your
off the wall and uncalled for insult and fired back.

Let's call it a day and move on with no hard feelings. Fair enough?

You're just gonna love that 440, Richard. See my comments over there. Was
a 426 hemi an option to replace the 383 as well? Wondering if you had to
choose.

The car originally had a 440 according to the VIN and fender tag, so I
decided to keep it original.
New, crate 426 hemi's are available from MoPar, but mucho bucks, not just
for the engine, but for all the bolt-ons as well. The old 383 was pretty
tired, as were all the bolt-ons, so we replaced everything.

Oh, cool. I'd assumed it was a 383 car originally. Even though the 426 is
a superior motor, I agree that it's much better to keep it matched with the
VIN, so the 440 was the way to go.

The 440 was built with a mild MoPar street cam and we went with a new 1800
RPM stall torque converter.
Manifold is Edelbrock and carb is a Holley 800 cfm. Also did a
transmission rebuild (727) so it should run pretty good.

It's nicely dressed up, and will soon have somewhere to go.
Barrett-Jackson, January '07?

Naw. I am going to keep it for a while. It sits in a specially prepared
space in my garage and we sit around, having a beer, listening to music and
giggling at the car. Once in a while, during the summer, I take it or one
of the others to a local "cruise" night event. I had never attended these
and found they are a lot of fun. Nice people of all ages, many couples, all
with a common interest and many with a great deal of talent. One of the
local cruise night events draws anywhere from 300 to 500 cars every Friday
night, depending on the weather.
