nk.net...

1) Iran tests a nuke device
2) Iran engages one of our planes or ships...or one of our divisions along
the Iran/Iraq border
3) Iran and/or Syria are behind a large-scale terrorist attack against
Israel, and Israel ends up in a 3-nation shooting war in which we come to
defend them.

Considering Iran's recent $50 million aid package to Hamas, I think that
the third scenario is most likely.

That aid package may end up being good for us AND Israel, but in ways you
haven't thought of yet.

In article ,

Sunday 39%
Monday 39%

Lowest ever.

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.
I peeked. My friends who voted for him are denying it now.

Humans...
Interesting choice of word. The word "pussies" came to my mind.

Hey...there's a good side to this...it tends to chill going ahead with
really stupid ideas.

I was just thinking to myself this morning about what it would take for
the US to launch unilateral strikes against Iran in the very near future,
and the only thing I could think of is one of the following scenarios:

1) Iran tests a nuke device
2) Iran engages one of our planes or ships...or one of our divisions
along the Iran/Iraq border
3) Iran and/or Syria are behind a large-scale terrorist attack against
Israel, and Israel ends up in a 3-nation shooting war in which we come to
defend them.

Considering Iran's recent $50 million aid package to Hamas, I think that
the third scenario is most likely.

But Congress is not going to give the President carte blanche prior to
the elections like they did with Iraq. But if the Republicans hold the
House and Senate, Bush *will* get that authorization after the elections.

I don't see testing a nuclear bomb as being a sufficient reason to mount a
strike against anyone. Many nations have tested nuclear bombs. My guess is
that Iran already has several such devices, not of their own manufacture,
but purchased from thugs in former Sov states. One of these devices may be
"tested" in the new future.

Your reasons 2 and 3 would certainly lead to us "engaging" Iran.

Regardless of the outcome of the fall elections, it is unlikely any
president for many years to come will be given carte blanche to wage war.

See, now we've just discussed a political topic in a perfectly rational,
agreeable way.

What's the price of gas this week at the marinas in your part of the
world? I'm heading out later to check on something at a marina and will be
taking a look-see at the gas docks.

I don't know, but it has to be over $3.50/gallon. It was $3.41/gallon 2
weeks ago.

I'm dreading this weekend's fuel bill. I'm fishing in a grouper tournament,
and the big grouper haven't moved in close yet...which means running out
45-70 miles to have a chance at a winning fish.

Petty name calling does nothing for your credibility.

It's not calling names if the description is accurate.

So is that your opinion of all the "conservatives" (or at
least, all those who express profound hatred of libby-rulls)
here in this discussion group who claim they didn't vote for
Bush & Cheney?
