Six guys.

18-foot sailboat.

4-foot seas. (chop?)

Small craft advisories.

No VHF radio, apparently. No ditch bag in a vessel with a known capsize
risk, either, apparently.

According to the account, very possibly one PFD short.

What a shame, truly. It's always tragic when a life is lost at sea- but
how many rules of common sense is anybody allowed to violate without
consequence? Here's hoping this ill-advised adventure will serve as a
warning to others who might be just as careless or cavalier when
considering a day on the water so the young lives claimed by the waves
will not have been spent in vain.

Yeah, what's that saying, if you can't be a good example to others, at least
serve as a horrible warning.
