Reposition of battery

I have a 17 ' 1979 Glastron that I bought as a project boat and rebuilt
the inside of the boat myself. Originally the boat had an inboard tank
in the stern which I have replaced with two portable tanks. The battery
is currently back in the same stern compartment as the portable tanks. I
want to reposition the battery to under the seat in the middle of the
boat. In order to do this I would have to extend the battery cables
about 6 feet. Will this cause a problem with loss of voltage? Any
ideas would be appreciated.

Reposition of battery

Years ago I used some 6ga jumper cables which run about 10 feet to a battery
moved forward in my duck boat for better weight distribution. Just be sure
you make good connections and weatherproof.
