Default On Topic... What the hell is this adminstration thinking?

If there is any REAL concern with security, why is this being bid to
any NON American firm? This is just plain nuts!


I does not sound like a good idea to me. But if you are concened about
"any" Non-American firm running these ports. They are run by
Non-American firms now.

This is the way we run our port these days. Maybe more American
companies should think of shipping through Halifax.

believe, they are unionized employees of the corporation managing the port
operations. I don't think we'd want them federalized.

Not usually, although employees of Federal Crown Corporations are
covered by Federal Labour Laws
Examples of Crown Corporations are Canada Post, Canadian Broadcasting
Corporation etc.
