Saw the info on the BOATFIX.COM forum. that doesn't make any sense considering that Simrad has sold it's consumer division off to a norwegian holding company. on the other hand, they sold their consumer divison to concentrate on the fisheries aspect of their business so maybe it's true. but i cant find anything on line about the sale of lowrance. http://www.lowrance.com/company/pres...rger013006.htm |
Lowrance - Simrad
Tom,
Seems unlikely that quality will go down. Lowrance has been doing a lot in the past few years to move from a predominantly fresh water entity to both a fresh and salt water seller. The founder, at least for now, remains the CEO. Simrad may ask for some new products but I don't see them lowering the value of the purchase by diluting the impressive quality Lowrance has been producing. But Simrad does produce great Sal****er gear. |
