I've been through two of these things so far:
- A TwoGood Offshore that I modified myself by removing the foot wells and grafting in another - larger - foot well module. Took me about two days and must've added 10 pounds. Never again. - A Findeisen about 19' long and 18" wide that fits lengthwise, but whose seat pan is about an inch too narrow - and which I suspect the maker took something of a financial bath producing. I'd like to replace the Findeisen with something that has another inch in the seat width and maybe another inch in hull width - or at least a little more stability. Did the dance with one promising maker and then, at the end, it turned out that he couldn't give me 48" seat-back-to-heels/50:" seat-back-to-rudder-pedals. Probably should've gone to Sweden and gotten my legs shortened back when they were doing that sort of thing. Something like a poly Wave Witch would probably fit - but I want something that glides/surfs non-breaking swells. Anybody have experience in this situation? -- PeteCresswell |
