Tonight, Thursday, 7:30pm, CBS 5, Troubled Waters.

Haven't seen it. Don't know what it's about, but it looks like a look at
the future, in terms of water quality, of The Delta and The Bay (Sacramento
and San Francisco, respectively).

Saw the last part of it. Was about the delta and the problems. To much
water export, building on islands below flood levels, and building up the
delta with dredging from the port of Oakland. They did not mention the
toxicity of the dredging spoils.

I'm glad you saw some of it. I missed it! I forgot that I had to take kids
to soccer practice tonight. Then I had to help with biomes and perfect
tenses. Finally, ...

So, are we ok for now or is it the end of the world as we know it? I'm
guessing the delta and the bay are filling with toxins and silt and
destructive non-native organisms.

Only saw the last few minutes. Had to take mom to the doctor today. She is
91, and not been to the doctor in about 9 years. Nurses are bad patients.
She said, she should not have told me of the side pain. No major problem,
great doctor.

Wow...91! Same age as my mom.
She only sees the doctor a couple times a year. He moved his office into
his home that isn't wheelchair or 'walker' friendly. Must be trying to
unload all his elderly patients.
He will come to the house on weekends for visits...but what a hassle.
you have to hang around all day waiting for him and half the time he
doesn't show. Very hard to get another 'overworked' doctor to take on
an elderly patient.

My mother still lives alone. Still healthy. Still is a licensed RN, and
fills in at a friends rest home at times. Her mother lived to 93.
