Rainy sailing

Went family sailing today. Either my kids have become more annoying as
they have aged or my ability to put up with them on a small boat has
gotten less. It was me, my wife, my 19 yr old daughter, her boyfriend,
my 15 yr old son and my 9 yr old daughter. Yes, this is too many
people on a 28' boat even in nice conditions. It was choppy and nasty
looking, too many people in the cockpit to move easily, sailed anyway.
9 year old decided she was scared and went below in spite of us telling
her she would be seasick, sure enough, 10 minutes later she was back
out driving us nuts. Finally started back down the channel in cold
rain with all the kids below making enough noise to drive me crazy. No
more family sailing for me, its going to be single handing which has
become a lot of fun for me. Single handing is relaxing with nobody to
worry about. I can relax and think things through and I sail much
better than with anybody else. I never thought I'd become so
anti-social about sailing but it really is more fun by myself.

If it's any consolation, an amazing metamorphosis takes place at 21,
they turn into humans. Hang in there. :)

Choppy, nasty looking, cold rain...??
That could probably be considered child abuse in some states.

====================

In my family it was viewed as mother abuse.
