Default OT--Daily Bush approval update

Thursday December 22, 2005--Forty-eight percent (48%) of American adults
approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President.
That's up four points since the President's speech on Sunday night.

Investor confidence has also jumped in recent days to the highest level in
more than nine months. Consumer confidence is has reached the highest level
in five months.

These results are based upon nightly telephone surveys and reported on a
three-day rolling average basis. Today is the first day on which all
interviews were completed after the President's speech.

The President's speech had a measurable impact concerning the War on Terror.
Fifty percent (50%) of Americans now say the U.S. and its allies are
winning. That's up from 44% immediately before the speech and the highest
level of optimism measured in 2005.

NOYB,
That will be good news for a members of the National Marine Manufacturers
Association. A confident consumer is a spending consumer.

Yes, of course that's what I meant to say.

Thanks for appropriately reading between the lines.

I, for example, am so confident that I'm thinking of buying a boat. Of course, I've
been thinking of doing so for years, but now I'm thinking of it more.

Has Harry said how much he wants for the "Yo Ho" yet? At a decent price, that
wouldn't be a bad buy.

Is he getting completely out of boating?

Especially since it was rarely used. ;-)

We mostly bottom fish down here in Southwest Florida. I go to other
locations to troll.

And the fishing has been lukewarm. The gag grouper haven't moved onto the
nearshore reefs yet.

I'm feeling confident enough that I'm getting ready to think about
considering mulling over the possibility of investing in the following later
today:

1 bag of rock salt for sidewalk
2 quarts of vanilla yogurt
1 loaf potato bread
1 loaf rye bread (with seeds)
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
3 lbs raw shrimp
1 bag mussels
12 heads of garlic
ginger root
fig newtons
1/2 gallon 1% milk
1 gallon skim milk (now labeled "Fat Free Milk", because apparently, there
are morons who don't know what skim milk means, and that's the best reason
I've ever heard for forced sterilization of humans).

Maybe. This is all tentative, of course, depending on the poll numbers.

Interesting ingredients...some sort of bouillabaisse?

Yeah! Were the fig newtons the clue that gave it away?

No, actually. Separate things.

Stir-fried shrimp (1 lb).

Doug's Amazing Red Soup, with andouille sausage, kale, lots of other stuff,
and shrimp.

Hide 3rd pound of shrimp way back in the freezer for emergencies.
