Um, Bill, YOU need to think. You asked if *I* was getting anything
boating related. Whether (or not) *I* am getting anything boating
related for xmas has nothing to do with Jim's post. Using analogies as
far fetched as yours, no one would ever have to post off topic, any and
every single subject could, in some far flung idiotic way be considered
boating related.

Either way. In my house, the wife sends me to get my boat stuff, and then
she wraps it. Cool, isn't it?

You already know what you're getting, why bother wrapping it? I like
surprises, and my wife, being quite smart, is very good at figuring out
what I'd like and surprising me with it. If I wanted to go by myself
something, I can do that any day of the year.

Hey! That's the way I got my Mustang last year. When the wife says 'yes', that's the
surprise! It's just as good as her buying it and putting it under the tree.
