Any fellow Yankees planning to do any ice fishing over the holidays?
If so, where, and what do you expect to catch, aside from pneumonia?

Last time I was ice fishing was about three years ago, in Ontario. It
was too damned cold for me to enjoy it more than an hour at a time.

Around here they have little shacks that they drag out on the ice. Add a
small heat source, a few drinks and the seem to get quite cozy.

Been there, done that, in Ontario. Still too cold for me. We used to ice
fish in New Haven in a little lake where we also ice-skated. No shacks, no
fires, and my memory is that it wasn't nearly as cold.

I spent some time up in Kanata, outside of Ottawa, snow 8 to 10 feet high on
the side of the road. During the day it would get up to -25c. Not a place I
want to live or visit at that time of the year.
