Default NYT 'SPYING' SPLASH TIED TO BOOK RELEASE

Harry,

Can you imagine taking your bride on a little cruise on this sailboat?
http://www.starclippers.com/ships_rc.html

They are actually participating in the Antigua Regatta this year.

The Clipper sails in both the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, so you could
actually take a long vacation, do the Med. sail the boat across the
Atlantic, and then do the Grenadine Islands.

This might be the best looking Ship I have ever seen.

Absolutely right. It's called leading by example. Let everyone's
posts here reflect what they would lke the entire group to be like.

Maybe you can get on your 'high horse' and plonk Bert for posting what he
claims are Harry's statistics. I would say that could be considered 'not
contributing much'...eh?

Some people lead such dull lives their only enjoyment is trying to live
vicariously through others, if you get my meaning. Guess I missed the post
you mentioned, Don. Oh well.

Imagine the results for a program that counted up posts totally devoid of
useful or even interesting content, and attributed them to their
particular users. I suspect "the seven sisters" would be engraved in
*that* book of gold.

It will be the same thing that happened every other time, harry won't get
enough attention and will magically lose his non existant killfile and
will
continue the personal insults non stop.

Similar to when chuckie took his ball and bat and ran home, only to return
with a new level of coy snarkiness.

Paul,
Let's not add to the problem. I think it will be very interesting to see
what would happen if people didn't bite when other people went trolling.
Sometimes it is very hard not to, but it really would be interest to see

the
reaction when the trolling doing get any bite.

I wonder if Wayne and Chuck notice that?

Had some snow week before last, with a touch a couple days ago. Today the
temp is in the 50's, and
the sun is sporadically making an appearance.

Where are you, roughly?

JimH,
If you are up to pampering your wife check out this ship:

http://www.starclippers.com/galleryn...est_centre.htm

This is one of those 360 degree viewers showing how elegant this beauty is.
They have some really nice pictures.

John, I am sure this has been tried every Christmas season since Harry has
been here. I know it was attempted last year.
You can see the results.

I compliment you for your effort though. Best of luck with this and Merry
Christmas.

Smithers, it is acceptable to carry on a normal chat here. You don't have
to go to the extreme of making each and every post boating related.

We need to cut out the swearing and name calling. If we can achieve that
the other will fall in line..... it is then IMO it is mission accomplished.

You don't have to google up some article about a boat with every reply you
make.

Merry Christmas.

Default Tall ships

Smithers wrote:
Don,

Is Halifax still a stopping off point for the Tall Ships when they go on
tour through the Great Lakes? I was in Quebec when they came thru on the
way to Chicago. There must have been 15 ships, some in the process of being
restored, and some in pristine condition. It seems that there are more
people who are interested in the 'romance" of the old wooden tall ships.

I also saw some great Windjammer Boats in the VI's and they seem to be
booked up well in advance.

But the best Tall Ship I have seen was on TV the other night, I was a newly
built Clipper Ship called the Royal Clipper. You can see the details here
http://www.starclippers.com/ships_rc.html .

The best part it is fully automated so the guest can play around with
raising and lowering the sails, but it can really be done with very few
crewman.

It is a beauty.

That is a beauty...but I'm partial to topsail schooners...
see:
http://www.cs.ubc.ca/spider/flinn/bluenose/index.html
The tall ships always stop here for about a week when the tour is on or
a race is taking place.
see: http://museum.gov.ns.ca/mma/tallships.html
My good buddy (best man at my wedding once worked for the Windjammer
fleet...he was captain on one of the tall ships.
Once he was 1st mate on the supply ship that traveled from Florida, all
the way to Aruba, and any points in between where Windjammer had a boat.
I kicked myself for not taking a leave from work to do that month long
journey.
here's a few photos of some of my sailing waters.
