The sun is now shining. There is more than 30 centimeters of fresh snow on
the ground. Air temp. is only minus 4. Time to go and fire up my
snowmobile!!!

We got the same wet heavy snow Friday night, but now we're getting heavy
rains washing it away. What a mess.

Are you discussing Harry's posts, or the weather?

No offense, but anyone who actually uses a snowmobile is insane.

Later,

Tom

Our sister province, New Brunswick, does pretty well attracting people
who drive miles to snowmobile.

Seriously. :)

We had a family one. But being California, was not required to have to use
it. Had to either haul it to the snow, or Clear Lake where my father
retired to, had snow every couple of years.

Never understood the appeal either. At least skiing is quiet and you
get some excercise.

Sitting under the palm trees certainly has its attractions. Went for
a spin on the river yesterday in a SeaRay 260 Sundancer that we are
thinking about buying.

Comments anyone on the SeaRay? Problem areas, etc.?

Mrs B likes it because it has an enlosed head and a fairly soft ride.

She likes that about as much as you like skiing...

AND you don't know what you are missing - you would love snowmobiling...
if you love the allure of going fast, and that wonderful weightless
feeling as you launch out of the hole & through drifts & over moguls,
engine screaming, then smacking back into the pack with a huge plume of
frozen water spraying over the cowl and jetting out from under the
tunnel, powering through & making that first cutting through wide open
virgin powder...

Or sinking your brand new Yamaha snowmobile in a mushy part of a lake
pass and freezing your ass off on a 13º F day trying to get it out and
getting soaked in the process.

No thanks - never again.

That's a warm day around these parts.

If the cold is not for you - then you're right. It's just not in the cards.
