One of those kids could take you out with a single bitch-slap.

I bet he bought thet yellow V8 Mustang....to look cool and be accepted
by the teenage students.

Hey Don!! Careful......I am an old guy and I like that yellow V-8
Mustang.
I think it looks damn good!

Jim C.

It's a cute car, no question about it. But to see an old fart like
Herring driving one? What an absurdity.

Harry, I don't suffer from NPD, and therefore am not too concerned
with what people think when they
see me driving my Mustang. I'm just having fun!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Wishing you peace, fellowship, and good humor as we celebrate the
birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ on the Christmas Holy Day.

Once again, you don't understand what you read. My comment was not
directed at your feelings about your cute car, but the giggles others
must get when they see an old fart like you driving it.

Whether their laughter "concerns" you was not the subject of my post.

Hey, if half the kids in this county (or so it seems) weren't driving
one, I wouldn't mind owning one. But not yellow. Silver, maybe, or
black, if it comes in black.

Our local Ford dealer had a GT in the showroom, and I got to sit in it.
Wonderful car, at least in looks, but...getting out of a car that close
to the ground ain't easy when you're 6'3".

There are some cars that seem to fit a certain type of person. The
Mustang isn't one of those, IMO. The VW Beetle and Cabrio are two
examples. The (defunct?) T-Bird is another.

Being 6'3.5" myself, I haven't had the problem. The driver's leg room
is much more than any Cadillac
I've sat in.

Another example of your inability to read. I wasn't discussing leg room.
Perhaps you should insert a mental (.) period between each word when you
read.

Perhaps he DID answer your question and THEN added a comment about the
legroom. That's how I read it and it makes perfect sense.

Was that a Mustang GT, or a Ford GT? I'm guessing the former since the
Ford GT's are a bit harder to find and usually behind a rope.

I'm 6'4" and have a hell of a time getting into, or out of, a Corvette
gracefully. Even my 330i took some practice.

If you checked then I'm sure you are right. Are you anti-Quebec? I'm
not attacking you, I really don't get your point.
Dan

Hi Dan. I was just curious as to where it was made. I knew it wasn't made
in Montreal as that city does not have an auto plant. It is a city that
manufactures great aircraft but no cars.

No, I love Quebec! It is a beautiful Province of Canada. Have you been
there? Quebec City is even more beautiful than Montreal!

Jim C.

Sorry, Jim, I thought you had something else in mind.

I have visited Montreal, but not Quebec City. Montreal was great. The
architecture is diverse and the people are wonderful. I stayed at the
Queen Elizabeth and enjoyed walking around the area and the underground
stores and train station. I also left you some money at the Casino and
spent a few hours at La Ronde (sp?) with some friends. Great city. I
hope to get to Toronto soon as well.

What's really the difference? The fact that the city is in Quebec?

Just the fact that you made yet another inaccurate statement.

I was in Montreal during the 1964 Exposition.....I delivered newspapers then
and won a trip there based on me being able to write up new customers. I
was too young to have much of an impression of the place other than the
rooms were small and the service sucked.

Toronto...............another experience much later in life. Very
open....very liberal. A lot of activity downtown during the daytime and
nighttime weekend days.

My wife and I, along with my sister and her soon to be husband, spent a
weekend there when we were in our 30's. We walked the downtown during the
day and found great prices on some things including leather jackets.

Prior to dinner Saturday night we had a front seat at a nude musical called
"Let my people cum". Quite interesting and entertaining, to say the least.

We have not been back there since then other than my 'boat in' fishing trip
to the Georgian Bay just after that Toronto trip.

Based on reports or the state of Canada from Don and Jim C, I don't think I
want to return.

Just welcome the pet owners of the USA when we take our dogs and cats for
their nightly *walks* into Canada. :-)

I think you should try Georgian Bay one more time. The small craft route
through the 30,000 Islands from Port Severn up to the start of Collins Inlet
is the second best cruising on fresh water in the whole world. The very
best is from Collins Inlet west into the North Channel of Lake Huron. I
have cruised these waters for more than 40 years and I am still captivated
by the beauty of the area. Crystal clear waters, fabulous shore lines,
abundant wildlife and the best fishing that you could ever wish for. There
are many quaint little ports to visit and thousands of wilderness
anchorages. Fresh caught fish over a camp fire for a shore lunch or a
gourmet meal at some of the best restaurants that you will in the north.
It is just wonderful up there.

Poor Rev Jim. He's a few years off on EXPO 67 too.
Most people remember the 'good times' on long ago trips....
the Rev only remembers the bad.
