While we destroy Iraq...

Harry,
You are bitching about the money we are spending in Iraq, but your "Iraqi
Solution" was to bomb the country into the stone age, then use a massive
"Marshall Program" to completely rebuild the country.

I wonder how much rebuilding Iraq and the troops to protect the workers
would cost American's?

try to survive eating termites and shoot.

We're blowing a minimum of $6 billion a month on Iraq.

Imagine the good we could do around the world alleviating the suffering of
the poor, the starving, the homeless, the sick, with that kind of money.

Our star would be on the rise again, instead of in decline.

Harry, since you are out of work and need something to do besides post to
USENET all day long, you should go to Iraq and do some union organizinig.
Why don't you start with the Iraqi military. Once you have them on an eight
hour day with two 15 minute breaks and a half hour for lunch you start to
work on getting them national health care. When the rest of Iraq sees what
labor unions can do they will surely want to become unionized themselfs.
After all workers are workes regardless of their race or nationality aren't
they. Why reserve your union organizing to just the US.

Warmonger Bert, who spent his time in the service stateside, facing no
action except at the titty bars, speaks.

Here's a secret for you, Bertbrain. Union organizing stateside is more
dangerous than the kind of military service you performed.

Here's a clue for you, fella. Showing up at a base a weekend a month, and
going off to summer camp to play in the mud may be service, but...it isn't
the same as dodging bullets in Iraq.

It's nothing at all.

Glorified Boy Scouts.

Harry, by your standards, half the people currently dodging bullets in Iraq
*were* glorified Boy Scouts 24 months ago.

Having done nothing approaching his service, you feel qualified to denigrate it?
I've worked with the Guard and Reserve, Harry. You've not.

But they're not any more.
No one serving in Iraq is a glorified Boy Scout. All duty there is
dangerous.

But simply showing up at a stateside base once a month, and going off to
summer camp stateside is not the same as facing enemy fire, bombs,
kidnappings, et cetera.

Who said it was? What gives you the right to denigrate *anyone's* service?

Harri never served our country, Eisboch. It is a shame that many had to
die, serving our country, to preserve his right to spew garbage about those
very people. I don't know why you read his disgusting crap.

His right as a taxpayer. As someone who pays the wages of servicemen,
he, and all citizens who pay taxes, should have a say about someone's
service.
