The best paddling finction stories I have read are by the venerable Ken
Strickland, who has various nom de plumes.

Pete Staehling had a passel of them - check them out! Ken is the O'Henry of
paddling,

That's what I told him years ago with love and affection - that he is
the O'Henry of paddling stories!!! And Cubic Dog is our poet laureate.

Being owned and operated by a media conglomerate,
AOL wants neither free speech, nor people thinking for themselves.

They want us to affix our eyes and ears to the media "pipeline"
of sexual innuendo and corporate propaganda.

I've moved on ISP wise as well. This part of our city got a one year
free 10 Mbit glassfibre internet connection with Giganews subscription.
Not bad, but it means that when using a newsserver to download stuff,
reading news on newsgroups at the same time is not possible (the
download software takes precendence over the newsreader).

Besides, having had a very slowly improving torn muscle near my wrist
means that I haven't paddled moving water for almost two months. Also,
no more cartwheels in the pool for me for some time. I tried again this
past Saturday, and the pain after the third end was excruciating. Not
to mention the withdrawal symptoms! :-(

I guess you're still paddling, seeing you on RBP?

Sorry to hear about your wrist, Wilko. Yep, still paddling some, not near

Wow, sorry to hear about your wrist, Wilko. At least its not
springtime, so you have a few months of enforced rest and recuperation
facing you.
