I need some help
 

Hello all,
I'm new here and found this site after hours of wading through sites looking for the information I am seeking.

I have a boat with a 140Hp GM 4 cyl. attached to it is a OMC 400 sterndrive and they need replaced so I purchased a motor and OMC taken from a 1998 boat supposedly. The new one is white and says OMC 120 can someone please tell me the year of this power plant? Or tell me where I can get the books that tell this information.
