Have you ever stopped to think how long it would take to restore civility and on-topic conversation to this forum if something unfortunate should befall him? His kind are the pariahs of this NG. -- Skipper |

Gould, I don't disagree with your State of the Newsgroup speech, but I remember when JimH made a similar comment and he was attacked by many, yourself included. Who or what do you blame for the state of the NG state? -- Skipper |

Doug,
I find it easier to read top posting messages, it makes it easier than scrolling down to the bottom. Also, my NG reader places the cursor at the top of the message. "Doug Kanter" wrote in message ... "Dr. Dr. Smithers" Ask Me about my Phd @ Diploma Mill .com wrote in message ... Kevin, What is so childish about asking the question? Sudden left turn: English is read from the top of the page to the bottom. Why do you love top-posting so much? wrote in message ups.com... Dr. Dr. Smithers wrote: Kevin, Why is JimH asking a question that is designed to encourage an on topic thread childish? His question is not a troll, nor is it JimH trying to insult the person who made the observation that rec.boats is mostly about politics. I'm not Kevin. But, do this for a little test. Google back to before JimH bought his used runabout for about the same timeframe prior to him buying it versus the time frame since he's owned it. Now, how many posts do you see prior that asked the question about boat ownership? Got it? Now, do the same thing post boat buying. What are the results? It's simple, before he owned a boat, he never asked that question. Since then, because of his childish nature, he asks it almost daily, and sometimes several times daily. |

When I first started reading the NG Harry was posting 100 - 150 messages a
day. 75-125 of those messages were telling everyone else they were idiots, right wing turds or something similar. Whenever Harry takes a vacation, which is very uncommon, the tone of the NG improves immensely. Harry has destroyed what was a good group. "Skipper" wrote in message ... Doug, if you start reading at the top of the page, as you state English is read, then you'll read
his response (and this one) without wading through three feet of crap. What, if anything, can be done to restore the NG to its once preeminent position? -- Skipper |
