Kevin hasn't been here for a while, Chuck. As far as I can tell, there hasn't been any non-fictional, non-Smithers Kevins posting here since "KS" in September and KevingDHCP in August. Before that, "Kevin & Debbie", Kevin Jed, and Kevin Despot all in July. I notice that none of them have been back since. -- ~/Garth - 1966 Glastron V-142 Skiflite: "Blue-Boat" "There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." -Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows |

Date: Monday, November 07, 2005 9:23 AM What the ****'s the difference, moron? Why is it that so many of the "progressives" in the NG think it is useful to use expletives to emphasize their prospective on issues. I also wonder why so many liberals find the word liberal to be such a negative word that they use the expression "progressive". snip As far as the term "liberal" goes, some prefer to be called "progressives" for the same reason that many of you "reactionaries" would prefer to be called "conservatives". Progressives? How funny. *Regressive's* would be more accurate. But I can understand why many liberals do not want to be called such anymore as it has become a word with so many negative images attached to it. ;-) |
