Even better news:

Monday October 31, 2005--Forty-five percent (45%) of American adults now
approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President.
*That's up five points since Harriet Miers withdrew from consideration as a
Supreme Court nominee*.

Yeah, even your robot poll still shows nearly as many STRONGLY
DISAPPROVING of President Dumfoch as those who Strongly Approve or
Somewhat Approve of him.

I already explained that to you. Bush had a 38% rating of "strongly
disapprove" even when he won the 2004 election by 3 million votes. He's at
39% now. Big deal. It's his base that matters...the ones who elected him.

Give Bush a chance...more details will be forthcoming on the Libby-Rove
Scandal, and he'll drop again. Or he'll screw up the handling of another
disaster. I expect an upturn this week because all the numnutsie
conservatives have a stiffie over Dumbya's court announcement.

The upturn occurred at the end of the week that most pundits and politicos
called "the worst week of the Bush Presidency".

Bush should be hovering in the 48-50% approval rating range by the end of
the week.

Yawn. While on the appellate court, he's been a right-wing nutcase. I'm
sure someone could find something good to say about you before you turned
to the dark side.

Here's where he calls in the "chips" he earned when he let the R's in
the Senate kill his last nominee. Unless Bush is a dumb as he appears
(could be) this is likely the move he had in mind from the beginning.

Barring a successful filibuster, this guy is probably in.

Know what I find interesting about all this?

If this had been a, say, liberal appellate judge of the same name,
would you think that CNN, et. al., would combine Scalia and Alito?

Isn't that sort of ethnically insensitive on the part of the media?

What's next - that he's the Mafia's personal appellate judge?

Why not? Cuomo was all wrapped up with the mob, according to almost anyone
south of Pennsylvania. :)

CNN just picked up on the nickname the conservatrashers call him.

Bull****. I saw Soledad O'Brien use it prior to any conservative
commentary.

It's also in today's DNC talking points:
"Judge 'Scalito' Has Long History Of States Rights, Anti-Civil Rights, And
Anti-Immigrant Rulings."
