Skipper - The Truth.

I just got tired of all of the innuendo and half-truth information, so
I thought I'd find out the *real* truth.

I just got off the telephone with the *real* Skipper. We had a very
pleasant chat about old times and the newsgroup in general. Skipper
continues to boat, says he has been spending time away, cruising, and
has not checked into the newsgroup for a couple of years. (As you
might guess, he like hundreds of others, tired of the infighting and
moved on to boating venues with less angst.)

HOWEVER, the latest posts by the person identifying himself as
"Skipper " IS *TRULY* THE ONE AND ORIGINAL POSTER
BY THAT NAME. He believes that his posts accurately reflect his
opinions on the matters that he has discussed. (My disclaimer, at this
point, is to state that *I* have no personal knowledge of any of the
points under consideration and will not endorse either parties
position.)

This post is meant merely to verify the true identity of the
aforementioned poster.

Another matter, the one of smithers. I despise what you have been
doing to this newsgroup, but I *will,* in all fairness, retract my
musings that you were the pseudo skipper. You are not. Apparently,
there is no "pseudo Skipper."

This behind us, fellows, can we move on to a boating topic that is on
more of a positive note.

And Skipper, if you read this, thanks for taking the time to talk with
me. I'll be dropping you an email.....

Thank you for putting this matter to rest Gene. That was over and beyond
the call of duty.

Chuck.........Skipper............either killfile each other or give up the
squabble and return to boating discussions. You both have a lot to offer to
this NG.

Can't we all just learn to get along? ;-)

Let's see you set an example, Jim, that lasts more than 48 hours, eh?

Good start, but it takes two to tango...... and around here it is
going to take enough choreography to perfect Riverdance.......

Hell, the only time I flame Krause is in response to him flaming me. If he
stops, I stop. Ant that applies to all the other he regularly flames.

How about it Krause?

What is Skipper claiming to be using as a boat these days, for his
cruises from Derby, Kansas?

Frankly, Harry, I didn't ask and I did so because anything that would
have been shared with me would only be inflammatory in this venue.

We don't really need more fuel for the fire.

Ahh. Well, if it is Skipper, and I have no reason to doubt you, it is sad
to see that the little lump of anti-Semitism he exhibited during his
earlier life here has metastasized into a full-blown tumor.

As for his claims to be boating and cruising, I don't doubt he told you
that, but...it's b.s. He's boatless in Derby, Kansas, 1500 miles from the
nearest ocean.

I was hoping to get out on the Bay this weekend. Weather is doing me in
here. But my grass looks the best it has all year.

Krause has promised to stop the flaming.

Let's see how long he can keep his promise.

I have unblocked him for now to see if he can.

Just as you are boatless, living in a small $60k dump of a house, while
frantically typing away lies on Usenet for 12 per day.

Sorry turd brain, "Skipper" has *much* more boating knowledge than you will
ever have.

Right, right, the gratuitous "I was hoping to get out..." claim. Give us a
report when you get back...maybe you can tell the group how you set your
trim, using the hundredths of a second feedback from your GPS, that doesn't
have the right time.

ROTFLMAO!

Harry just doesn't have much exposure to GPS technology. He claims to
prefer his sextant for coastal nav. Further, ask him about "bumpers".
It's all in the archives...

ROTFLMAO!

Neither of you idiots know how to use a GPS to determine boat speed, or
how to look at a GPS display to determine what impact corrects to trim, or
RPMS have to boat speed?

Sure I do. But as a boater, I know that using a topical speed reference to
set trim is idiotic, especially since currents, tides, wind, chop, and boat
load, can all effect that speed reading...especially when watching (LOL) the
hundredths of seconds.

But of course, without having a boat, you would have no way of knowing that.

Care to squirm some more, or are you content ignoring the facts of your lie?

Heh heh...
