What's the collective wisdom out there wrt joints between exhaust manifolds, risers, and elbows ... use a sealant (e.g. Permatex) along with the gaskets, or just the dry gasket alone? -- Dave When I replaced my manifolds and risers, the shop guys in the marina gave me a tube of what they called "gasket glue". It's purpose was only to hold the gasket in place while assembling the parts. It was *not* a sealant like Permatex, but I don't remember the name of it. -- John H "The trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant: It's just that they know so much that isn't so."
