As soon as I have drained the oil, I open all "cocks" on the engine and

remove the water hoses to drain all water from the block

Do you not fill the block with antifreeze afterwards? Even in a warmer
climate the anticorrosive properties would be advantageous.

No need to fill it, but running some through with earmuffs will coat all
the walls.

I like your idea of running the engine after adding the fuel stabilizer
to get it circulating throughout the fuel system. Gotta remember that
one.

Hmmm. First time I'd ever heard that. The Ban-Frost I use has the
viscosity of water and wouldn't stick around too long if at all, I
think. I figure the $9 I spend on 3 gallons of antifreeze is well worth
it.

Standard practice around here for those that do not want "recommision" in
the spring.......we just run the "red pop" through the earmuffs until it is
flowing well out from the exhaust side....(after draining of course)
I end up using about 6-8 gals by the time I am done. (two engines)
